Ah, the weekends. There’s something inherently relaxing and welcoming about it. The ability to sleep in, craft your day how you want it to be and of course, celebrate the weekend with friends/family. For us, it makes for the best excuse to whip up some delicious and delightful recipes.
So today we bring to you one that is sure to make you fall in love: homemade sorbet! The light, tangy, and ultra refreshing alternative to ice cream that screams summertime. Seeing that citrus is the juiciest, and tastebuds tingling, we figured we’d go with a nice light orange sorbet! So, roll up your sleeves and prepare for a treat you won’t soon forget!
Refreshingly Tangy Orange Sorbet
Summertime = Sorbet time. This quick, healthy treat is a prime alternative to ice cream for the warmer days ahead!
- 2 Cups Orange Juice (aprox. 6 oranges)
- 4 tsp Sweeter Stevia 4.5 oz
- 2 Tbsp Water (Filtered preferable)
Instructions
- Squeeze the juice out of the 6 oranges
- Mix together the sugar and water on the stove top to heat and melt
- Add in the orange juice to your sugar mix
- Chill this blend for one hour
- Pour into a freezer-friendly container and place in freezer, removing intermittently to whisk away the ice crystals that form.
- Scoop into bowls and enjoy!
*Optional: For extra nutrition add 1 Teaspoon of our premium grade Carrot Whole Vegetable Powder to the mix before chilling.
