Potatoes who? Kale chips are where it’s at!

Kale has been everywhere lately, and it’s no wonder why! One of the most popular superfoods, kale is jam-packed with beneficial nutrients, vitamins A, C & K, calcium, potassium, manganese and more. It’s also rich in antioxidants, and who doesn’t love that?

With more and more of us becoming health conscious, making the switch from popping open a bag of potato chips to popping crunchy pieces of kale in and out of the oven is a no-brainer. Kale chips are delicious, sure, but they are also super easy to make and customize to your family’s taste!

After plenty of trial-and-error kale chip endeavors (there are a ton of recipes out there!), we’re sharing with you our secret to the perfect chips… tweak-able to fit your preference!

Piping Rock's Perfect Kale Chips (Serves 2)

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Clean and dry your kale bunches thoroughly. Cut off the chunky stalks on the bottom and discard. Rip apart the kale leaves into 3-4” pieces. Remember, the chips will shrink as they bake so you don’t want them to be too small!
  3. Rub each piece with oil and seasoning and place in one layer on the baking sheet. Pop in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or when the edges of the chips are nice and crispy and starting to brown. Keep an eye on them as they can burn easily!
  4. Remove and let cool before serving. Enjoy!

Feeling some extra flavor?

Italian inspired? Add shredded parmesan cheese and garlic powder!

Classic BBQ? Add paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder & onion powder!
