Teatime: How to Make Your Own Blends

Tea is just delicious and not only that, it’s good for you! Instead of drinking coffee on the daily, why not try out a steamy cup of your favorite blend of tea?

Oh, you don’t have a favorite blend and that’s why you can’t…Well, lucky for you we’re here to shed some light on three blends that are not only delicious but extremely healthy for you! Yeah, that’s right coffee grounds, steep competition is on (that pun, completely done on purpose).

Blend 1: Simple Sleepy Time

When it comes to nights where you have “had it up to here” (points above head), you are probably going to find zero solace in tossing and turning. For that reason, we have a blend that should shoo away the sheep method and welcome an altogether peaceful rest—that is, if you can put your phone away or breathe for, like, two seconds. Here is the Simple Sleepy Time Blend for your argh days:

Place the bulk herbs in a tea diffuser. Let steep in a mug with the 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes. Drink up and welcome those friendly ZzZz’s.

Blend 2: Beauty Tea

Okay, so this tea won’t actually make you model status, but it definitely will help your body feel more balanced and let your spirits awaken. This is a blend of Elderberries and hibiscus flowers. Why are these two ingredients perfect for what we coin “beauty tea”? Good question. Elderberry is known as a traditional herb which is terrific for immune support and it also has a great amount of antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the body.** Hibiscus flowers, on the other hand, help cleanse the body while providing a yummy, tart taste. Here’s the recipe:

Place the bulk herbs in a tea diffuser. Let steep in a mug with the 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes. Strain and serve! Drink up and watch yourself undeniably catwalk out the door—sorry, we’re not sorry for this reaction.

Blend 3: Rosemary Ready

Rosemary, in tea? Yes guys, yes. Rosemary is an amazing herb and it doesn’t have to chewed…it can be sipped! Rosemary is a traditional herb that has been used for centuries and has a rich antioxidant profile. That being said, it is a great tea blend to sip on when you’re in deep with multi-tasking and need to have 0 brain fuzziness. Here’s the helpful blend:

  • 2 Teaspoons Rosemary Leaf Whole Organic
  • 8 Ounces hot water
  • Sweetener (optional)

Place the bulk herbs in a tea diffuser. Let steep in a mug with the 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
